David joined Grant Thornton after completing his studies at the University of Malta. His responsibilities primarily include planning, executing and supervising statutory audits. He also coordinates work between audit staff, liaises with audit managers and partners, provides training on IFRS technical issues and communicates directly with audit clients. David also prepares and reviews financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.For certain clients, David prepares letters to management highlighting weaknesses in internal controls and makes recommendations.David's audit assignments include both local and international companies within the public and private sectors, ranging from financial services, hospitality, catering, manufacturing, retail, gaming, property as well as investment and finance companies.
