Security Supervisor
CurrentOverview:This position includes planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the security functions for all aspects of the facility, including central monitoring and building access. I'm responsible for writing emergency evacuation plans, administrative policies and procedures to guard against theft, vandalism, violence, or other threats against the company or its employees; security assessment reports, and budget requests; and provides training on fire evacuation procedures, workplace violence, and other security related training. Duties are performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the Director of Facility Operations and reporting directly to the Building Services Manager.Responsibilities:Ensure the quality of performance of security officers, patrol area of responsibility, maintain schedules, make frequent patrol rounds, maintain daily activity log, and complete incident reports Plans, assigns, and evaluates the work standards and methods of security personnelSchedules, oversees, instructs and coordinates the activities of Assistant Security Supervisors and contract staff Provide first line response and leadership in emergencies and primary responsibility for enforcing security and safety proceduresOperate and monitor control panels, alarms and related security equipment.Monitors budget expenditures; prepare budget requests and other written reports relating to security system activities;Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine how to make premises and grounds safe and secure. Theft, fraud and loss prevention and investigation as well as threat mitigation/response planning and implementation
