My professional experience is in the field of Social Work, working with a wide range of individuals and families at risk or in situations of social exclusion due to homelessness, drug addiction, mental health issues, dual diagnosis, unemployment, immigration and elderly. Therefore, this experience has entailed to manage cases that require theory-based interventions and a psycho-social and holistic approach. In the field of addictions, I have experience working and volunteering in homeless services with clients with problems arising from drug addiction, providing harm reduction, information and emotional support around their addiction. In addition, my Postgraduate in Intervention in Addictions provided me with tools and skills to effectively undertake psycho-social assessments followed by interventionsbased in Relapse Prevention, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Community Reinforcement Approach models. My philosophy is greatly influenced by humanistic ideas that promote self-determination, self-awareness and a holistic understanding of the whole individual. Therefore, I believe in person-centeredinterventions that are based in the potential, strength and will of the individual, with core values such as tolerance, acceptance and respect to the individual´s autonomy.
