David gained his Chartered Accountant qualification in 2002 whilst working in Chartered Accounting firms in Melbourne before embarking on a 7 year oversees hiatus from the Australian workforce. This period included 3 years living and working in Japan followed by a relocation to the finance industry in London, UK. Whilst in London David worked in a variety of contract roles before settling in a semi-permanent position with Platform Inc, a mortgage securitisation subsidiary of the Co-operative Bank. It was in this role that David advanced his data analysis and excel-based process improvement skills.Upon returning to Australia in 2010 David accepted a Corporate Accounting role with Industry Fund Services Ltd. In this role David further expanded his data management skills by acquiring VBA coding expericence in both Excel and Access databases and also developed a strong background in management reporting. An internal promotion to the role of ICT & Performance Reporting Manager in June 2013 saw him project manage the transition of IFS Ltd to a cloud computing network as well as manage the roll out Qlikview across the organisation for BI and external reporting. As ICT & Performance Reporting Manager, David considers his key responsibility to be the continual improvement of the technology, processes and systems people use at work.
