I am pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics & Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and am expected to graduate in May 2026. For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in computers, and my favorite subject in school has always been math. Previously, I had taken a short, online artificial intelligence course by Harvard, titled CS50ai, and have been fascinated by the field ever since. Given this background, I am looking forward to taking my abilities towards working on deep learning and algorithms, with the goal of eventually pursuing research. For the remainder of my undergraduate degree, I plan to focus on artificial intelligence through classes, clubs, and projects.To keep myself well-rounded, I recognize the importance of keeping my software engineering skills in check. In order to keep them polished, I participate in project-based clubs, such as ACM, and work on various projects on the side that can be found on Github. I believe that the design aspect of software engineering is a crucial skill to carry over to the world of machine learning and algorithm design.
