David Savill is the Artistic Director of Age Exchange, specialising in Reminiscence practice with older people in care and community settings. His passion and expertise is in the performance of memory. David joined Age Exchange in 1998 and has 25 years experience of creating and directing reminiscence arts programmes that enable individuals and communities to share life experience through visual and performing arts. He has worked alongside many arts professionals and partner organisations in arts, heritage and education.Amongst other projects he created: “RADIQL”, Age Exchange’s innovative Reminiscence Arts in Dementia Care intervention, “Combat Stress 100”, the landmark centenary programme for Britain’s oldest military mental health charity and “Meeting in No Man’s Land” the highly acclaimed Anglo German First World War Centenary project and documentary. His work with older people and with intergenerational groups has resulted in many theatre productions, exhibitions and documentary films. David has lectured and presented on the work of Age Exchange at Universities and drama schools in the UK. He has worked on projects, productions and presented at conferences in Germany, Poland, Ireland, Australia, Canada and the USA. David is a trustee of Beckenham Theatre Trust
