As a Principal Engineer, I am both responsible for technical innovation and improving the delivery organizations of our customers. Together with teams consisting of both customer-employees and also my own colleagues, I try to find sustainable and suitable solutions to the actual challenges faced by my clients - ranging from technical (e.g. "going cloud-native"), to organizational (e.g. "adopting DevOps")My current position is as a Senior lead architect at a german financial institute. The implementation of a white label banking platform using start-up principles is the current focus. In that setting my role is that of an architect and developer of a cloud-native, distributed, CQRS/event-sourced microservice architecture. Coaching and leading up to 40 developers is part of my job, trying to improve everyone and improving myself every day.Although the technologies I work with depend on the concrete challenge, I prefer light-weight tools. Currently, I work mostly with NodeJS, Javascript, Typescript, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Ansible, Git, Gitlab CI, Eventstore, MongoDB, Postgres, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, Redis, React, Java, Spring.
