Experienced Facilities Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry. Strong operations professional skilled in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Biotechnology, Cell Culture, Research and Development (R&D), and Life Sciences. Experience in validation of FDA inspected facilities. Media formulation development including working with gels for optimal growth and production rates. Born in Wisconsin, Dave’s family moved to upstate New York where his parents taught at the local university and high school. Settling in to Ithaca, NY, he joined the Cornell offshoot Phyton Biotech. There he worked first hand optimizing media to produce high yields of paclitaxel-containing (Taxol) broth. After Phyton acquired the largest GMP plant cell fermentation facility in the world, he went to Germany to perform validation testing. In collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb, the manufacturing plant passed an FDA inspection on all aspects of the process equipment. After acquisition by DFB Pharmaceuticals, Dave was instrumental in moving the company into a new facility in New Jersey. At Biolabs, he brings strong customer service skills along with the experience of going from experimentation to production as Facilities Manager in Princeton to nurture entrepreneur companies on their own development path.
