For the past 30 years I have worked in the scientific and computing industry on a wide range of projects for the Department of Defense and industry. My experience includes expertise with most programming and scripting languages, systems administration, systems security, database management and scientific analysis. During this time I served as the lead software engineer on several software development projects, including extensive experience in a certified Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 5 organization. From 1996 to 2001 I also served as the lead computer security consultant for Eglin Air Force Base, working with the Base Information Security Office (BIAO) and Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). Software that I was directly responsible for include, but are not limited to, the following:Bomb Fragment Analysis - image processing software used to compute average presented areas of tumbling bomb fragments for use in predictive simulations.Accounts Management - web-based software with Apache/Tomcat backend servers and clustered database servers used to manage the complete life cycle of computer accounts in a heterogeneous computing environment. (Multiple flavors of Windows and UNIX servers)Simulation Executive - software to act as an executive for running complex physics-based aerodynamics simulations on the latest super computers for the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program (DoD HCPMP).Storage Solutions - web-based and gui-driven software for gathering, analyzing and reporting information about heterogeneous storage arrays.
