Deputy Operations Manager
CurrentI have complete oversite of a 110 person security operation in the Eagle Ford Shale oil and gas play in Texas. My duties require me to respond to and investigate all allegations of safety deficiencies in the field as well as the security camp. I train new employees in all aspects of operations, asset protection, theft prevention and safety. I write lesson plans and actively engage in a continuous training program, specializing in areas of OSHA and Safeland education, H2S awareness, blood borne pathogen awareness, environmental safety, safe driving and fundamentals of leadership. I serve as the assistant to the Operations Manager and perform his duties in his absence. I actively work on team building and community relations. I investigate all injury and illness cases and report to our Health and Safety Director. I also spend a considerable amount of time recruiting new talent for our company by attending veterans job fairs and interviewing interested prospective employees. I am very proud to have initiated our Texas operations' Field Training Program (F.T.O.). I wrote all the protocols and developed the manual of instruction and all associated forms. This has made a huge difference in raising the level of effective learning demonstrated by our new team members.
