Clinical Pharmacist splitting time primarily with Trauma Surgery and Emergency Department. For the trauma surgery team I serve as drug information specialist on the rounding service. Review patient profiles, provide therapy recommendations, assist with medication reconciliation, and ensure appropriate medication utilization, dose, duration, efficacy, etc. In the Emergency Department I provide assistance to trauma, stroke, sepsis alerts, etc. For theses I am a drug information specialist to offer medication recommendations, assist in aquisition of meds, and appropriate use of them. Audult code team member. Occasional internal medicine rounding as well. Some staffing each month in central pharmacy. Provide pharmacokinetic dosing and anticoagulant dosing for patients. Patient education and counseling.

Pharmacy intern at Medical Center Pharmacy, the outpatient pharmacy for West Virginia University Hospital. Daily activities included prescription processing from data entry to preparation of product for pharmacist verification. Computer system utilized was QS1. Obtained experience compounding on a daily basis. Assisted with patient counseling of prescription and over the counter products. After graduating and becoming licensed, I worked for about 2 months as a staff pharmacist until taking a new job in an inpatient hosptial setting.
