Dr. David Selčan is the Head of Research and Development at SkyLabs d.o.o., a space technology company located in Maribor, Slovenia. He is the lead for satellite systems, electronics and FPGA design, while also performing task of various aspects of software design, from programming embedded microprocessor systems, measurement setup and automation and digital logic design for implementation inside FPGAs. In addition, he is also the project manager of various space-related projects. He is a driven, creative and proactive person with deeply developed analytical and mathematical skills. He is well versed solving various problems, especially from a technical point of view. He is well versed in the design, testing and verification of technical solutions pertaining to the fields of electronics and computer science.He is actively pursuing research into using advanced design techniques to enable the use of standard affordable components inside highly reliable fault-tolerant electronic systems. He has authored and co-authored three scientific papers and eight conference papers in the fields of Aerospace, Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering.
