During a 20 year tenure with TxDOT served as an area engineer and assistant area engineer, responsible for the oversight of all the construction projects in the Area Office in the districts of Bryan, Atlanta, Tyler, Lufkin and Paris. Assisted with over-sight of all design projects as well as projects under construction that ranged in types from enhancement projects, to reconstruction of city streets, to the construction of new roadways with interchanges. As a Design Engineer worked on feasibility studies, enhancement projects, off-system roadway and bridge designs, to bypasses and rural interchanges.For nearly 5 years served as the Owner Verification (OV) materials manager with PaveTex during the 2nd and 3rd Phase of the $1.2 Billion TxDOT Fort Worth DFW Connector Design-Build project. Continued as OVTI Manager with HVJ who was awarded the construction materials testing and inspection contract for the 4th phase of this project. Also served as the Owner Verification materials manager on the $1.1 Billion TxDOT Dallas I35E Managed Lanes Design-Build project for 2 ½ years.
