Responsible for ensuring raw materials, components and sub-assemblies are delivered to Westinghouse nuclear production sites to support production needs, at optimal efficiency with unequaled quality. Fosters and builds strong, value-adding relationships with internal customers and key interfacing organizations including Customer Service, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance. Review, validate, and execute SAP MRP generated requisitions to meet business and/or customer demand for nuclear reactor components. Develops material usage forecasts and inventory strategies to ensure that on-time delivery and inventory objectives are met. This includes developing, entering, and maintaining forecasted demand, as well as re-order points/safety stock into SAP ERP for all key products. Works closely with Purchasing to ensure material support of the production and inventory plan. Works with product engineering to review and disposition excess and obsolete inventory.•In depth understanding of Westinghouse nuclear supply chain and production operations, as well as an expert on assigned product or commodities (Instrumentation & Controls). Responsible for product change and associated material planning implications, manages and solve exceptions, and drive supplier execution. This position requires daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvement.•Owner of the inventory cycle counting process for the New Stanton warehouse. Creates and posts the cycle counting in SAP for one of the largest warehouses in the company based on material valuation.•Participates on process improvement teams and implement recommendations to optimize functional efficiency through use of SAP and/or related modules.•Applies supply chain expertise to manage system parameters and meet target inventory and service level goals while minimizing costs and obsolescence.

Utilizing SAP S/4HANA: Analyzes incoming production order requirements and develops master manufacturing schedule for the Yukon site to assure on time deliveries and optimal manufacturing efficiencies. Manages purchasing and inventory replenishment for raw materials and finished goods based on production schedules, current inventory, customer orders, and forecasts. Purchases raw materials (roll stock paper) used in the corrugation process utilizing rail, truck and VMI warehousing. Analyze and implement strategies for improved raw material through finished goods inventory tracking, control, validation and management. Organizes/conducts/reconciles full roll stock inventories for both the Yukon and Philadelphia plants. Develops and executes strategies to achieve FY inventory/production goals.• Prioritize production lines by utilizing SAP exception messaging to expedite, de-expedite, reschedule and re-plan assigned work centers based on internal and external customers' dynamically changing needs.• Coordinates/expedites the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Monitors production efficiencies and adjusts production standards in collaboration with manufacturing.• Creates, monitors, and maintains production schedules for all manufacturing cells. Utilizing SAP: responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of both the manufacturing & distribution of precipitated silica for the USCA (US/Canada) & EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Asia) business units. Ensured the SBU’s ability to provide product availability while minimizing working capital and production downtime. Monitored VMI (vendor managed inventory) by utilizing customer forecasts and creating production plans to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain via the 350 PPG owned railcars and bulk truck fleet (as needed). Liaison and communication point between plants, sales, transportation, re-packers, and warehousing to ensure demands are continually met. Maintained capacity plans and production schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives. Managed and reconciled the yearly physical inventories for all of the 3rd party warehouses• Owner of the SIOP process: Demand consensus, (RCCP) rough cut capacity planning, inventory and FG forecasting.• Oversaw inventory, productions and supply planning responsibilities for Lake Charles (domestic) and Delfzijl (international) manufacturing plants. • Managed importing of feedstock materials from external overseas suppliers for specialized design silica. Created PO’s for ocean container shipments from Taiwan to support PPG paint BU’s sourced from domestic production plants.• Managed all SAP transactions with regards to multiple leased external warehouses: stock transports/raw material receipts/production scheduling. Approved/issued purchase orders for monthly warehousing storage fees/inbound/outbound receipts, all relevant production/shipping supplies, overtime, demurrage, rail switches.• Maintained strategic stocking levels by monitoring the inventory levels, sales trends and open orders to ensure that inventory assets and production capacity are efficiently utilized on a continual basis.• Track plant/BU KPIs to the supply chain plan – OTIF, Freight Premium, and old age review.

Utilized current manufacturing philosophies, order fulfillment systems (SAP), and operations to ensure optimum scheduling and coordination of the material planning, purchasing, conversion and production scheduling functions for the Latrobe facility, from melt to finished bar/billet/ingot/coil. Entered all of the general inventory and semi-finished safety stock levels and forecasts for both the Latrobe plant and DC’s to meet the anticipated sales plan. Led the identification, development, and communication of daily and weekly work center schedules as required to maintain the flow of material/orders through the manufacturing process. Identified constraints, reviewed MRP error messages and expedited orders to ensure on time delivery. Composed SOX compliance policies for inventory control and assisted with external/internal audits. • Aligned market demands taking into consideration capacities and capabilities of all assets across the Carpenter system. Dispositioned non-conforming, obsolete, over runs and returned material (scrap/re-app/hold).• Coordinated/reconciled both the yearly plant inventory along with the weekly warehouse cycle counts.• Represented the inventory team on many cross-functional projects, including SAP S/4Hana business transformation.• Provided logistics/SAP support/training to all the domestic/European warehouses, including: resolving SAP shipping/receiving issues, material identification, returns, inventory discrepancies & cycle counting. • Improved operations for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
