Perform electrical design and hands-on installation of electrical control systems to new processes, and to obsolete or outdated control systems in the manufacturing environment (Processing, Packaging, and Warehouse systems).2. Update electrical controls for all types of Hayssen bag makers, Micrologics, CMBs, Etc… a. Servo controllers and motors are used to replace clutches and brakes, and stepper controlled systems (including Galil controllers). b. Utilizes the latest version of Rockwell Automation CompactLogix PLC and HMI for machine interface. c. When necessary, Hayssen parts and frames are disassembled, powder coated, and then reassembled. Old, worn out parts are replaced with new or reconditioned parts. 3. Specializing in SMC “Air Flow Controller” programming and installation for the packaging industry (specifically: Nitrogen systems). 4. Use AutoCAD to design/develop electrical control schematics as required by updated systems, or when requested by customer.5. Troubleshoot and repair complex manufacturing equipment problems containing Rockwell Automation PLCs, HMIs, VFD’s, DC controllers, electronic circuits, 3-phase motor controls, servo control systems (Rockwell Automation), single and three-phase electrical systems, and low-voltage systems.6. Certified x-ray technician to maintain and troubleshoot Eagle x-ray case-inspection systems as required by SQF Level 3 certification.

Programming control systems utilizing the following IDE software: Rockwell PLCs and HMIs (SLC-500, PLC5000, PLC5, FactoryTalk View PV+), Wonderware Intouch 7.1, Quick Panel and Automation Direct HMIs, and PacDrive 3/ELAU controller. 3. Design and develop three-phase (480V & 208V) controls for all manufacturing operations.4. Use AutoCAD to design/develop electrical control schematics for updated systems.5. Manage all phases of mechanical and electrical projects.6. Certified x-ray technician to maintain and troubleshoot case-inspection Eagle x-ray systems as required by Herr’s SQF Level 3 certification.7. Troubleshoot and repair complex problems to manufacturing equipment containing PLCs, HMIs, VFD’s, DC controllers, process controllers, electronic circuits, 3-phase motor controls, servo and stepper control systems (Fanuc & Blueprint Automation robotic systems), single and three-phase electrical systems, low-voltage systems, and computer control systems. 8. Maintain HVAC systems integrity utilizing EcoStruxure software. 9. Troubleshoot technical problems with Delta robotic systems using ELAU (PacDrive 3) software. 10. MES control systems support (update, modifications and repairs), since 2013. 11. Manage site license for all manufacturing process support software (PLCs, HMIs, etc.)12. Utilization of various communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, DH+, RS232, RS485, etc.).13. Provide technical support for the repair maintenance technicians (considered last line of defense before outside resources are contacted). 14. Manage the Electrical department. 15. LOTO trainer for Authorized employees. 16. Create Technical Manuals for upgraded control systems.

1. Directed maintenance staff in all aspects of maintenance (Projects, PM’s, Repairs, Parts).2. Schedule preventive maintenance work orders. 3. Evaluate employee performance and recommend job classification. 4. Maintain CMMS program (Mainstar).5. Technical trainer for Lead Machine Operators and Maintenance personnel.6. Perform PLC and HMI programming for ALL packaging equipment.7. Electronic circuit board repairs to component level, as required.8. Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment containing PLCs, HMIs, VFD’s, DC controllers, process controllers, electronic circuits, motor controls, and servo and stepper systems (Fanuc & Blueprint Automation robotic systems), etc.9.
