Led the AUV engineering team to develop, test and commercialize a prototype AUV into a production system for customer delivery. Planned, scheduled and managed 12 months of AUV factory acceptance tests (FAT), at-sea engineering tests, harbor acceptance tests (HAT) and sea acceptance trials (SAT). Provided regular progress updates to customer and management. Acted as the primary AUV pilot and control systems engineer throughout trials. Developed improvements to AUV electrical and control system, and integrated third party sensors.

Supervised a team of engineers, technicians and students to design, develop and produce a prototype Autonomous Underwater Vehicle from initial concept to full-scale prototype, leading design efforts and coordinating project timelines. Developed concepts and prototypes to cost effectively satisfy customer and mission requirements.

Operated, maintained and upgraded a 3000m depth-rated commercial AUV with three other team members. Developed significant improvements to AUV control system software, improving communications and surface control capabilities. Piloted AUV during a two-week deployment offshore with US Coast Guard personnel.

Developed and produced a 5000m depth-rated commercial AUV with a team of engineers and technicians. Contributed significantly to the vehicles control system software, gaining valuable experience with at-sea optimization and tuning. Successfully completed Sea Acceptance Trial with customers prior to delivery.
