Offshore Construction Manager
CurrentOffshore Construction of the TANAP pipeline Sea of Marmara phase. Construction Manager based in Ankara and at offshore site office in Biga, Canakkale. Responsible for all phases of the installation of 2 x 17.5km x 36” Gas pipelines and 4 x Fibre Optic Cables across the Dardanelles Straits as part of the larger TANAP pipeline (Baku to Europe). Duties included from Tender phase for all MWS and EPC bidders through to preparation/installation/commissioning and reparation of beach sites. Construction activities included pre trenching from beach level out to water depth of 25m, lay of 34kms of heavy wall CWC coated 36” line pipe, 4 beach pulls, 2 above water tie ins from SK1200 lay barge on DP. Laydown and pull out of slack pipe to 350te. Lay of 4 x 18km long FOC cables and ploughing of cables to 3m depth in seabed. Also included were crossings of 4 existing FOC cables using sleeper beams, mattresses, cable protection frames and total of 250,000m3 rock dumping armour protection.Responsible for recruitment of team of 34 mainly local Turkish national personnel and running 3 location offices and worksites. Also management of the MWS and EPC contractors responsible for the construction of the above.High point to date is 650,000 man hours without incident.
