David is currently the Community Development Director for the Town of Snowmass Village. He has worked in the Community Development, Planning and Urban Design profession for many years and is experienced in City and County government. His professional work includes leadership roles in small (3,000 pop.) to Large (1 million pop.) towns, cities and counties. He has been a part of many designs and planning for large and small Planned Unit Development's that included urban design and detailed site planning within neighborhoods, transit oriented and mixed-use districts. David has also kept current with his leadership skills and is an organizational steward. Many of the projects both public and private he has been a part of are built or under construction.As a manager and leader David offers his ability to mentor, coach, simplify and effectively communicate the complexities of local government issues and community-based projects. He creates an open, collaborative and creative atmosphere where project realities, community needs and desires come together. Strengths: Strong communication, leadership and management skills including collaboration, customer service, long and short range planning, budgeting, development review, comprehensive planning, and transportation planning.
