I was a key contributor from day one to the system which today processes approx. 70% of Vodafone UK mobile phone contract and prepay orders - SVAP (Strategic Vendor Automation Platform).This is a mission-critical suite of software applications built by us from the ground up over a period of seven years. I was involved from its inception: initially in a senior development role; subsequently as a development team leader, with system architecture and design responsibilities. Specific accountabilities:Team Lead:* Determine estimated effort, dependencies and resource requirements and input to project plan.* Manage and assume overall responsibility for quality and timeliness of team deliverables (code, designs, documentation &c). Development:* Code components to required standards from design documentation, adhering to best practices.* Identify and employ design patterns and third-party libraries as appropriate.Design:* Liaise with business representatives and others to identify scope and feasibility of business requirements and proposed changes. * Produce HLD (High-Level Design) documents. * Include functionality and user interface overviews, and key system boundary interface specifications. * Produce LLD (Low-Level Design) documents including formal specifications, resolving ambiguities and specifying key implementation choices to enable development to begin.
