As a child, I witnessed the efforts of my dad and grandfather, both doctors in rural Missouri. Long after the last patient left, they stayed at the office to chart and document patient records. I saw the attention to detail necessary to provide quality care. From a young age, I was drawn to how technology could improve efficiencies in healthcare. Over the years, I have led leading healthcare technology companies, which led me to NextGen Healthcare in September 2021. It was a pivotal time, as the company sought to refine its vision and approach. Growth is the most critical agent for advancement – for patients, providers, and for a path toward affordable healthcare. I firmly believe that we can enhance the patient-provider connection, streamline efficiencies, reduce burnout, and improve health equity and access through our technology. I’ve seen these results firsthand in the organizations we serve. Since I’ve been with NextGen Healthcare, we have prioritized our focus on outcomes and brought to life a new vision, “better healthcare outcomes for all.” We partner with ambulatory healthcare organizations across the country – including Federally Qualified Health Centers and tribal health centers that serve people who can least afford medical care. Through our integrated platform, providers are equipped to deliver whole-person care that brings tangible impact to patients. Nothing is more powerful, and little is more meaningful. Driving this impact is our ability to facilitate the open exchange of healthcare data, not only in the U.S., but across the globe. This ensures every member of the care continuum has the information necessary to make the best decisions possible for patients.
