For the last 5 years I've been travelling across the country delivering computer programming workshops to students aged 6 - 16, teaching the fundamentals of coding and doing my best to get people excited about the subject. Over the last 2 years our team have been developing FUZE4 Nintendo Switch - an application which puts real text coding into the hands of budding programmers on an accessible, portable platform. As the Head Tutor at FUZE, I have written the tutorial content for the application which covers the basic concepts used in programming, taking users on a journey of understanding from the absolute basics to far more complicated and abstract techniques.As an independent music professional, I create music for Video Games in a variety of styles. At FUZE Technologies I run engaging demonstrative workshops on location at schools across the country. Taking away the "fear factor"​ from teaching the new IT curriculum, these workshops show children and teachers alike that coding can be as easy as Pi! From easy fundamental programs such as our "Hello World", to a more complex and satisfying real time light display with hand built circuits, the projects taught in our workshops are an instantly gratifying way for a child to understand and grasp that they can affect the world around them with code.In addition to these workshops, I manage the assembly warehouse at FUZE, building and testing the machines from the nuts and bolts right through to boxing and delivery. Finally, for our own games created in FUZE Basic I have composed and produced sound tracks and sound effects using my skills in music technology.
