I am currently working as a geological engineer for structural soils through this I am enhancing my report writing, team working and management skills. I am continuing to develop my skills logging rock and soil in accordance with BS5930. This has allowed for a broadened knowledge of soil and rock logging from strata across the UK including Mercia Mudstone and Chalk. I have graduated from the University of Leeds with a masters in engineering geology. This involved engineering modules such as Hydrogeology and ground investigation, geotechnical modules and a research project. I have graduated from Plymouth University, with a 2:1 in Physical Geography and Geology; this included modules such as Geoengineering, Tectonic Geomorpholgy, Geohazards and Georesource Exploration and Production.My Undergraduate dissertation research project, Involved land sliding in different lithologies between Sandown and Bembridge on the Southeast coast of the Isle of Wight. Utilizing my own field data, as well as historical imagery and GIS, to understand and categorize landslides within the region, and how they may have changed overtime. I am hugely passionate about geology allowing me to pursue my interest in the subject not just through university-timetabled session, but also through currently being a part of the geological society of London, and attending talks and seminars, from various speakers who visit the university.

  I am currently employed as a senior retail assistant at Cotswold Leeds, while this is a part time job as I undertake my master's degree, it has allowed me to work within a professional team. I have held a job with Cotswold for five consecutive years spanning three different stores. This has allowed me to work with many different people, both in part time and full time roles. I believe that while working for the company I have met a range of people and have improved my professional work place ethos, while understanding the professional relationship between staff. This work allowed me to gain skills such as, talking to suppliers and administrative roles, and most of all has allowed me to deal with customers and how I may be able to help them. I believe this customer service aspect of my job will help me within my future career as it will allow me to present the best possible options for the client, considering their needs as well as the values of the company, allowing me to uphold the company ethos while undertaking suitable work relations.
