I have had a long and varied public sector career, plus a year in cycling campaigning. This has involved extensive multi-disciplinary working requiring versatility, excellent networking skills and delivering to tight deadlines.Currently working in transport policy and programme management, I worked previously in social housing strategy and development, including driving the housing investment programme, deriving and managing the capital programme and contributing to Single Regeneration Budget and other renewal programmes. After working on the current Blackpool local transport plan, I am managing its programme. Other current projects include Green Corridors (sustainable transport and public realm) and contributing stakeholder management to the Blackpool tramway extension scheme.I have liaised with the railway industry for several years, inputting to route utilisation strategies and franchise exercises, most recently the Northern and Trans Pennine Express processes. This has included contributing to the South Fylde Line Community Rail Partnership. I have headed up for Blackpool Council throughout the Rail North formation process and its work on the franchise invitations to tender.I have considerable experience of preparing strategy documents and have had considerable success as a bid writer.
