I'm a software designer and leader specializing in the utilities industry, with experience in designing and guiding direction for highly performant, thoughtful, and highly configurable enterprise & end-consumer products that are functionally rich while being easy to implement, extend, and maintain.I'm currently providing direction for an integrated utility software suite consisting of consumer-facing behavior change products for email, paper, and web, and utility enterprise-facing products - including a customer information & billing system (with CX integration), a meter data management system, a distributed energy resource management system (DERMS), several smart grid communications modules, a suite of business intelligence analytics, a utilities work & asset management product, an application development framework, and tooling to support the configuration of these systems. I was previously the lead product architect of an integrated suite of meter data management products, and prior to that, two market transaction management products.That's a lot of industry lingo. The bottom line is that I've found that the principles of design and data processing that I practice are applicable across vertical industries and across different types of applications.
