I joined with responsibility for 23MY through to 26MY programs. My role scope covers delivery across the entire program life, managing both program and technical aspects. As leader for powertrain, I have delivered 23MY (IGNITE) from to ; 23.5MY (legal) from to ; and 24MY (legal) from towards . In one year, I have immersed myself into D7u vehicle and Nitra launch teams, establishing a solid and respected network. 23.5MY I led the cross functional team on a major late change to migrate from Magna to Borg Warner for driveline supply. I led the team through concept; CAE; sourcing process and into PP build in 9 months. Above this, I have been appointed as lead for the Semiconductor Resilience Task Force working cross functionally on a daily cadence to understand silicon dependency and re-design opportunity for all electro-mechanical components. Achievements include; I delivered £176.4 within IGNITE ‘technical’ scorecard versus £177 target, contributing towards the £1,650 average saving across JLR carlines. Powertrain suffered an audit noncompliance with 148 technical deviations that had expired (aged) without robust closure. With tenacity I reduced it down to zero in 6 months. I am trained in AGILE. August 2020 I took on the extremely challenging parallel role of IGNITE. The delivery was in distress needing technical leadership, planning and reporting. I grasped this challenge, organised it and the team into key workstreams. Reporting weekly to my director and bi-monthly to the Board of Directors. Achievements include; October 2020 achieved OKTS on the first ever PTA PHEV propulsion after 5 years development. The outcome was a JLR and industry first for electric rear axle drive unit, in addition a high voltage junction box that integrated three functions into one unit. I initiated and led the first 48v Mild Hybrid Unit program into L551, whilst maintaining compatibility cross platform. Achievements include; Through multiple cross functional inputs and strategic sourcing, I established the core and application cost (investment; material cost; and resource) to deliver the system through unit ; ; and . This 48v technology was a first to JLR.

Hybrids And Electrification

Responsible lead engineer for various Hybrid vehicle programs through the advanced phase of program delivery. I led the 16MY HEV program. Achievements include; I led JLR and the German Bosch team on the first 48v Mild Hybrid prototype in a 6-cylinder petrol XJ vehicle.
