It’s my job to ensure that PHI is protected when healthcare professionals employ Nextech solutions. Our clients and their patients rely on this, and we take this role very seriously. As Chief Information Officer, I oversee a robust framework of information infrastructure and ensure the strongest protections are in place. Since joining Nextech, my team has been responsible for developing the company’s information network into one of the industry’s most advanced in security and compliance. Our information security management program meets or exceeds the requirements under HIPAA. I take pride in leveraging my in-depth technical knowledge and extensive experience in network architecture and infrastructure to cultivate comprehensive, adaptable, scalable, and innovative IT security programs that enables our company to be world-class security leader in health technology.Every decision I make from an operational standpoint is based on a risk profile – perhaps inherent after working in network architecture and other security roles during my career. My early career in the US Navy was spent protecting data – data that could mean life or death for troops in special operations units. My personal motto is to challenge your strongest convictions with humility. I strive to lead by example, at work and in my personal life. My wife and I have three sons, and I unplug by off-roading, hiking, and choosing a peak to conquer each year.
