Both owned prior technical businesses, and realizing the technical challenges of the envisioned tester, they devised a business strategy that would allow for the design and growth of the JDi Tester technology, 'In-The-Black' with positive cash flow, relieved of common startup profit stresses, so they could fully achieve their product objectives. David Sleeter has 38 years’ experience in software design and hardware control, C++ large application design, IC testing and test technology, and program management. Prior to forming JD Instruments, Mr Sleeter worked for a number of companies in the areas of IC analysis and testing, as well as radiation testing, software and firmware design. Between 1987 and 2002, he worked for Mission Research Corporation where he performed semiconductor analysis and two-dimensional device physics code simulations of CMOS and Field Effect and Bipolar technologies which led to a better understanding of CMOS latchup and a published a model. Between 1985 and 2001 he co-founded Ellenco which created and distributed software for the photography industry. From 1982 to 1987 he worked for BDM, where he was a task leader for survivability\ vulnerability SAC programs, and worked on the Boeing Peacekeeper systems design group. Also he performed electromagnetic coupling analysis, analyzed the design of feedback controlled switching power supplies, performed pulse characterization testing of inductive devices including transformers and coils and developed predictive models. Prior to 1982 he worked at the Air Force Weapons Laboratory where he was involved in the development of various computer simulation blast codes and instrumentation and data acquisition for the MX missile basing test programs.
