David is the Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Financial Services (BFS). He also serves as a member of the Assembly Council of the NSW & ACT Baptist Association, is Chair of the Association’s Finance, Risk & Audit Committee and serves on the National Council of Australian Baptist Ministries and boards of Bedford College, Morling Foundation and Greater West For Christ Trust. David is a member of Gordon Baptist Church.David is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia NZ and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce degree UNSW (Accounting, Finance and Systems), a Bachelor of Laws degree UNSW, a Master of Laws degree (International Business Law) Kings College London and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Licensing Management AFMA.He has worked in major accounting practices in both Australia and UK and he has worked internationally and in Australia as an Investment Banker as part of Global Structured Finance Team of the HSBC Group. He also represented the British Bankers Association in industry consultation for UK taxation reforms for the treatment of financial instruments. David was the CEO of DEM a multidisciplinary architectural and design practice and remains a director of that company. He was also Treasurer of the Association of Consulting Architects NSW/ACT branch and served on various industry working groups with the NSW government.David has served in the past with several community and sporting groups including the Barker Rugby Club, St Ives Rugby Club, Gordon Junior Rugby, 2nd Gordon Scouts, St Ives Netball Club, Gordon Soccer Club and Crusaders . He has also served on the Old Barker Association Committee.
