An experienced internal auditor (FCCA and CIIA fully qualified) with over 13 years’ audit and advisory experience in a variety of client sectors, including the corporate and public sectors, and third sectors (university, housing). Audits overseen, and delivered, both in the UK and internationally. Successful track record of delivering a large portfolio of clients to time and within budget, and also building sustainable relationships with senior management and Audit Committees.My strong negotiation, strong analytical approach to auditing as well as influencing and communication skills have been developed both in Practice and also during secondment as a Deputy Head of Internal Audit in a large government department. My roles have involved significant people development and recruitment, as well as the training of all staff in the firm's internal audit methodology. I have undertaken a wide variety of audits, including value for money, governance and risk management reviews, as well as other areas including marketing, recruitment and compliance audits. I have significant experience of organisations striving to grow commercial income, and those undergoing organisational change. I have worked closely with management to enhance the profile of internal audit departments, through supporting transformational change projects, enhancing the quality of audit work, and also liaising with senior stakeholders.
