I am a very experienced independent investment professional . I advised the United Nations Pension Fund for 28 years and worked closely with many of the world's largest Sovereign Funds and Central Banks . I have over 20 year's senior management experience: I chaired the Board of Banque Fiduciary Trust in Geneva from 1997 to 2003 and served as Co CEO of Franklin Templeton Investment Management Ltd from 2005 to 2012, and held a variety of board Directorships for the group's Luxembourg and Irish Funds from 1996 to 2016 .I am a senior Adviser at Sail Investments a boutique based in The Hague in the Netherlands which specialises in direct lending to companies involved in a number of food supply chains with covenants to arrest or reverse deforestation. I chaired the Investment Committee of the National Trust from 2008 to 2017 overseeing its transformation into a Yale type endowment strategy with private equity venture and an impact portfolio aligned with the Trust's environmental goals I chair the Investment Committee of the Health Foundation which has an established private equity and venture programme and a green infrastructure allocation , and I am an independent member of the Investment Committee of Beazley plc,advising on an SDG aligned impact portfolio. I also sit on the Investment Advisory Committee of UNRWA and act as a consultant to PMCL focussing on ESG and sustainable investing.Graduated from St John's College Cambridge.
