Responsible for the conservation, care and display of all time-based and digital artworks in the M+ collection, including the works selected for the opening of the new museum. Establishing TBM media lab and digital preservation infrastructure and developing research projects such as the conservation of software based art and complex research art projects. Co-Chair of the Time-Based Media Committee focuses on addressing the needs of TBM artworks and emerging media practice in a museum context.

My achievements include the complete revamp of the Archive’s website and collections management system and transforming the workflows underpinning these vital systems.

Growing a network of digital partnerships among galleries, libraries, archives and museums across Europe. Running workshops and negotiating agreements to establish partnerships among entities. Promoting standards for the interoperability of digital cultural heritage and the use of Europeana APIs.

Leadership across all film and audio formats; establishing new standards, policies and practices for access, sales, preservation and conservation. Providing advice to researchers, producers and community groups in New Zealand and the Pacific. Training and supervising Preservation Technicians. Project managing film and audio preservation and restoration projects including the high profile, multi-screen restoration of ‘This is New Zealand’.

Undertaking research to source footage and clear material for globally broadcasted documentaries. Overseeing film transfer and providing quality assurance. Negotiating copyright clearance, releases and licenses.

Advising researchers seeking material for documentary, feature-film and television production. Researching and cataloguing collection material. Overseeing quality control of prints, negatives and transfers. Negotiating rates and issuing licenses, maximising sales.
