Insight Voting is building and certifying an election system that proposes a new approach that adds unique digital authentication to each ballot. This unique authentication preserves ballot secrecy and guards against vote buying and/or voter coercion. This new approach is called Verified Paper Ballots and combines the best of both paper and digital ballots by making paper ballots much more secure and using digital ballots to create multiple independent audit trails. Insight Voting is based on open specifications, open data, & open audits. The result is publicly auditable elections in which anyone can verify the outcome. Ballots and voting logs can be made public. Anyone can use publicly available specifications to process the data and prove that election outcomes are correct.
