For over 25 years, David Soo has built his career in the marketing and communication industry. Before stepping into his current role, he was the Managing Director of Invictus Blue group (formerly known as Zenith Malaysia), a pioneer media specialist company with a 20-year heritage. At Invictus Blue, David grew and led a fully integrated team with the goal of improving its client’s businesses holistically. The team comprised of Strategy, Creative, Media, Digital, Activation and Data that collectively build bespoke solutions that deliver real business results for its clients. Prior, David co-ran Arachnid with founder/Managing Director – Chin Weng Keong for 13 years. In 2016, the agency was rebranded to Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid post its acquisition by Publicis Groupe.David was amongst the early pioneers in the digital space when he ran Arachnid. He led numerous digital projects – from complex website builds and back-end infrastructure to multi touchpoint consumer engagement campaigns for MNC’s.Over the years, David has collaborated on many international and regional brands such as P&G, Unilever, BMW, HSBC, F&N, Friesland Campina, Toyota, Petronas, Malaysia Airlines, Celcom and many more. David is an all-rounder in the marketing and communication space. Having started his career in Bates Advertising (traditional creative agency), to Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid (full service digital) and subsequently Invictus Blue (modern media agency). With his varied experience from a start-up entrepreneur to international networks, David believes that the future communications model should focus on integrated platforms, a collaborative spirit and leveraging smart partnerships. All made possible with the right talents and an open mind. Formerly the Chief Integration Officer at Publicis One, David has always been passionate about people - “Your greatest asset are the talents you have on your team, they are integral to your success”.
