Coordination and management of an EU funded grant programme/award scheme across the East Midlands region. The scheme provides awards to academics on a competitive basis from any of the East Midlands Universities to support the successful commercialisation of novel innovative technologies or processes, ideas that have usually been borne out of their research findingsWhilst having a focus on unearthing the next MRI or DNA fingerprinting technologies (both from the East Midlands), I am also looking to forge collaborations with industrial partners, utilise sector experts and mentors where appropriate whilst enhancing the commercial skills of the academic baseI have also been involved in the establishment of the University's Innovation Park, development of internal fellowship schemes and the provision of Innovation Vouchers to companies who wish to engage with the knowledge base within the university.

Overall responsibility for the client management of a typically East Midlands-based portfolio of 60-70 clients. Generally SME's with turnover between £2-50m, I also worked with Plc's.Main focus was negotiation and agreement of credit facilities, together with provision of strategic, generic business and financial advice. Development of good working relationships with the legal and accountancy professional communities in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, whilst at the same time monitoring and working with non-clients.
