Working in radio and poscasting as well as television, digital broadcasting and journalism since 1990.Have operated news teams across multip radio stations and launched several successful podcasts for specific audiences. My roles have included News Editor and Deputy Programme Control in local and national radio. I have also presented news and music programmes on various stations.At Sky News, I worked on the award winning multi platform interactive service as well as spending several years with Sky News Radio, overseeing output to commercial radio across the UK (IRN). I was also employed by British Forces Broadcasting Service, doing radio news and online articles.As a consultant for Reuters I evaluated its audio delivery for clients, putting together an extensive document of recommendations. At Crown Media I conduct training with the UK military - and have also trained UK ambassadors about to be deployed around the world.In the corporate sector, I have worked with Rio Tinto and Nationwide Building Society on internal communications as well as multiple specialist organisations on video and audio content. I have also produced and presented programmes for specialised sectors such as airport terminals and intelligent traffic systems. I have also produced a podcast series where I learnt to swim. In 2020 and 2021 I launched three podcasts for the Wireless Group - covering current affairs, sport and world news. These rapidly accrued millions of listens through partnerships with Google and Spotify.As the MediaMentor (Twitter @themediamentor) I help develop and guide people's media career through an insightful and supportive programme. This includes basic and affordable advice like CV reviews and cover letter guidance to longer term mentoring, working with clients to boost confidence and increase focus.
