David Spradlin is a leader, innovator, and proven brand-builder in the cannabis industry with more than a decade and a half of experience in management, marketing, operations, compliance, and investor relations. He successfully launched Magnolia Wellness in Oakland and Sacramento, along with 13 Perfect Union locations in California. Along with retail, cultivation, and processing assets across the US.Learning the cannabis industry from the ground up as a patient, budtender, and dispensary manager influenced David’s 360-degree perspective and business acumen. What sets him apart as a leader is his emphasis on sustainability, social corporate responsibility, education, and community outreach. David has a long history of partnering with charitable organizations across a wide range of causes such as the cancer community, domestic violence survivors, animals, and the environment. One of his accomplishments was creating an award-winning patient services program that provides safe cannabis access to patients with serious medical conditions, including cancer, HIV and AIDS, and Crohn's disease and colitis, as well as those with limited income. He believes in empowering employees and is known for promoting from within the company. As an advocate for his frontline staff, David was a proponent of their unionization through the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW). Besides for creating hundreds of jobs in California, David dedicates time to initiatives that benefit the entire cannabis industry. He’s currently developing a State Authorized Apprenticeship Program that will create sanctioned training courses. By establishing formal education standards for knowledge and competency, David’s work elevates the professionalism and credibility of the industry’s growing workforce.
