I strive to help and entertain others.I have experience in live commercial (and tracked) radio AM, FM and internet streaming. As well as done minimal engineering at public broadcast and religious stations. Digital billboard design, sales and scheduling/programming. I have dabbled in music recording, live band front of house sound mixing, live muilti-camera studio video, video production, audio for events (Emcee for public events, weddings, prom and parties, and more media-related mediums.My passion is technology. Whether it's two-way radio, one-way radio or the microwave link that gets it there. Audio/Video recording, streaming and editing, website coding, databases and a bit of networking too. I was with a local over-the-air FM Alternative Rock station and had been working on my own internet-based, live radio station since 2008 - which had stopped broadcasting earlier in 2018. The format had changed a few times but it had been a learning experience all the way and was a HUGE reason why I took to commercial FM broadcasting so quickly and worked many positions at over 11 terrestrial radio stations where I did a variety of jobs from studio/transmitter site engineering to production, live DJ, music programming, billing, traffic/music scheduling, studio build-outs and upgrades, on-location broadcasts and more.One of my hobbies has always been two-way radio. Starting with CB, then analog FRS in my childhood, then GMRS and leading to my installation and maintenance of the only GMRS repeater (that I know of) atop the Grand Mesa serving Mesa County (and a little beyond). To my licensed (IG) frequencies that started on an analog Motorola/Kenwood/Vertex system and is now a Motorola digital, linked system. I also installed and maintain a microwave link (in an unlicensed band) to keep remote network connection at the site. Another hobby is Video production. I have accumulated a lot of gear over the years to help local businesses and organizations promote events and services as well as record and stream events. Some gear includes; 4 professional video cameras, 2 jib cranes, a small video switcher, HD recording deck, audio mixers, wireless/shotgun mics, lighting, and other equipment. I edit with Final Cut Pro X on a Macbook. I am by no means a professional in video but I do so enjoy learning about how to properly set up a shot and editing. I have yet to actually script and shoot anything that looks remotely good, but it's a fantasy of mine to get with friends and make a halfway-decent video (or series) some day for fun.
