Serve and support the vision, mission and strategic plan of the church.Develop, lead and supervise the youth ministry.Ensure the ministry incorporates a healthy balance of worship, discipleship, fellowship, faith sharing and service.Organize and lead weekly youth group bible study and prayer meetings, retreats, outreach events, fundraisers and youth-led ministry opportunities.Set the spiritual tone for, teach, train, mentor, encourage and nurture the youth in their daily lives.Maintain a healthy and safe space for youth to learn and grow in their spiritual walk.Care for and assist the family, church and community in meeting the spiritual and emotional needs of the youth.Provide opportunities for young people to enter into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them find their place in God’s service.Develop relationships and an environment that enables youth to ask questions and access resources to enhance their spiritual growth.Encourage youth to actively participate in and assume responsibilities related to the overall ministry of the youth program and the church as a whole.Provide leadership in developing and implementing cross-generational programs for adults and youth.Develop a multi-platform approach to contact youth, parents and volunteers to encourage participation in church-sponsored programs.Conduct risk assessments for activities and ensure compliance with applicable safety legislations.Ensure proper completion of background checks for all youth ministry volunteers.Planning an annual youth calendar in consultation with church leaders.Prepare and administer the youth ministry budget.Oversee the safety and cleanliness of youth ministry space.Assist the Pastor with church operations and development of additional church ministries.Participate in leadership training and daily personal bible study and prayer to continually mature as a Christian and a minister.
