Responsible for design & release of future model instrument panels and centre consoles for Global Ford Ranger programs. Key tasks include:• Overseeing design development and testing of all instrument panel and centre console components, including airbag systems and plastic injected moulded parts, from product concept through to launch.Project Management• Negotiated final tooling costs for Ford Ranger North American Program, delivering under $4.5m budget• Managed supplier interface to achieve on time delivery of Instrument Panel parts that met cost and quality targets for the Ford Ranger China and North American Programs.

Responsible for the development and sign-off of the driver assist systems and vehicle attributes of ride, handling and steering for all Asia Pacific lead car programs. Project Planning and Management:• Innovator of process to better coordinate cross program vehicle testing. The outcome was more efficient usage of facilities, equipment and human resources, improved forward resource planning and an improved working relationship with the workshop mechanics.Product Development:• Initiated, tested and signed-off TVM (Total Value Management) actions that will save >$2 million over the life of the Ford Escort program.

Responsible for the Asia Pacific voice of customer to the global product development team during development as well as launch sign-off on multiple Ford and Lincoln products in the Asia Pacific region.Product Development and Launch:• Organised 3 “In Market” drive events in China to fully test new products in China environmental conditions, identifying numerous issues that lead to design updates prior to successful market launch.• Coordinated emissions testing on 4 vehicle programs that ensured stringent fuel economy targets were met.• Worked with cross attribute quality leaders to implement design changes that delivered full vehicle quality levels that met best in class targets.• Lead team that prepared media vehicles for a flawless media launch event.
