My professional interests revolve around bitcoin, layer-one blockchain protocols, decentralized finance (DeFi), and renewable energy.Regarding crypto, I learned about bitcoin in 2015 and read Satoshi Nakamoto’s white paper that year. I began to seriously study the industry in March of 2020. I have an in-depth understanding of bitcoin, other layer-one protocols, DeFi, stable coins, and current regulatory issues in the US. In 2022, I began to produce professional research, written content, and consulting for crypto businesses and investors (see my work products under the "Featured" section).Regarding renewable energy, my law school 2015 seminar project focused on how performance based regulations can help the Hawaii achieve its 2020 and 2030 clean energy goals (see that paper under the “Education” section). I'm currently conducting research on how bitcoin mining supports renewable energy proliferation and grid stabilization.
