I am the leader of the Hydroinformatics group at KWB in Berlin. My research focuses on solving water-related problems using innovative methods and algorithms. My academic journey began with a degree in theoretical physics degree from Graz University of Technology, followed by a PhD in Civil Engineering from TU Graz, where I specialized in leak localization within water distribution systems. My professional experience includes a prestigious Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellowship at Delft University of Technology, enhancing my expertise in the field. Prior to joining KWB, I held the position of Associate Professor for Hydroinformatics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, further solidifying my academic and research credentials in the water sector.Throughout my career, I have consistently strived to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications in hydroinformatics. My work focuses on developing innovative solutions that contribute to more efficient, sustainable, and resilient water management systems, addressing critical issues such as water scarcity, quality, and infrastructure optimization.
