About David Steiner, Phd
I have completed post-doctoral research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. My research focused on the engraftments of transplanted Hematopoietic Stem Cells isolated from Umbilical cord blood. That was a continuation of my PhD thesis at the department of molecular immunology at Weizmann institute of science, Israel, where it focused on developing drug and cell combined manipulations to overcome non-matched bone marrow donor transplants. Since then I have worked in several clinical labs, as the clinical Bone marrow transplantation Lab at Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel, as a vice manager of the immunological diagnostic lab at Rabin Medical Center (RMC), Petah Tikva, Israel, and at the hematology and hemostasis lab at RMC (HaSharon Campus). In addition, I'm an active researcher. I manage an R&D project at Tel Aviv Medical Center (Ichilov), intended to develop a revolutionary technology that will allow making CART therapy as a simple off-the-shelf drug.later I used as the CSO of NOVAMED LTD, a biotech company, focused on in vitro diagnostics materials and kits for clinical labs. over there I developed a rapid antigen test for heart attacks using a finger-prick drop of blood.Currently, I'm the head of gene and cell therapy at TargetGene biotechlogies. Developing precise-genome-editing-based therapy for cancer, osteoporosis, and genetic disorders.

I attempted to establish a startup company which intend to develop new drugs agents in the field of cancer vaccine/gene therapy (a CAR based therapy).After failure to do it through the VC sector, together with Prof’ Zelig Eshhar (the CAR concept inventor and founder) I have submitted grant applications to few agencies. Fortunately, we win a significant RO1 grant from the NIH to further developing this concept I’m intending to establish.
