David Stephenson (or Stevo to many) has had an extensive and diverse 30+ year career in both small business start-up and global business across many dimensions of Advertising, Marketing and Digital Communication.His Advertising Career started at Clemenger Melbourne, a big St Kilda Road Agency (a despatch boy in charge of the all important mail) He continued to work in the agency business for many years including Grey Worldwide and Singleton.After 15 years, time for a change and Stevo went it alone with no clients, a big mortgage and a new born in hand. He built his own successful marketing consultancy for the next 3 years and then with a growing intrigue in Digital, co-founded digital creative agency Visual Jazz (Now Isobar) helping grow it to become one of Australia’s leading Digital Creative Agencies. He was instrumental in the businesses growth and sale of the business to the publically listed Mitchell Communication Group in 2007.The Mitchell Communication Group through acquisition ultimately became the Dentsu Aegis Network Group of which David spent a further 8 years in numerous roles including Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer driving the groups Innovation and Marketing Agenda. Also the Chief Executive Officer of Creative Services in which he oversaw 250+ staff responsible for the Groups Creative Agencies. He was also part of the Australian and New Zealand networks Executive Leadership team contributing to the strategy and direction of the business.Nowadays, David runs his own Business and Marketing Consultancy. He is also very passionate about giving back and is an active Board Director and Chair of the Australian Childhood Foundation, a National Not for profit who work to save children from the trauma of child abuse, neglect and family violence. www.childhood.org.au
