Innovative Assistant Systems and Data Technical Manager with an extensive background in the transportation/trucking industry. Leveraging expertise in Maintenance & Repair, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and Inspection, I've transitioned into a technical role focused on digitising processes and streamlining operations.In addition to my role, I am actively pursuing a Certificate of Higher Education in Computing and IT from The Open University, a personal initiative taken to broaden my knowledge base and fulfill a long-held aspiration. This additional education underlines my commitment to personal growth and my passion for integrating technology into our processes to create more efficient and effective systems.Since assuming my current position, I have implemented numerous significant changes to our system, including updating our fleet management system and introducing digital driver-first use checks on London buses. These initiatives have not only improved our operational efficiency but also created new avenues for data collection and analysis.Utilizing Microsoft PowerBI, I gather, interpret, and report data from our digitised processes to facilitate data-driven decision making. Currently, I'm spearheading a project to digitise our vehicle inspection cards, further enhancing our capability to monitor and improve our fleet's performance.As a custodian of the largest budget in the engineering department, I oversee expenditures in excess of £5 million, demonstrating my ability to manage significant resources responsibly. My foundational education in Mechanical Engineering - an NVQ Level 3 from the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering - has been instrumental in building my technical knowledge and managerial acumen.In the face of rapid technological advancements, I remain committed to bringing about continuous improvement in our operations, striving to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall service quality in our industry.
