Completed the ACII professional qualification in November 2016.Promoted to Underwriter in the Trade Credit and Political Risk division in July 2016, having previously worked as a Trade Credit Trainee Underwriter for Markel International. I obtained this position after completing just over 18 months on the graduate scheme. During my time on the graduate scheme I rotated around the company gaining experience within the following divisions:- Risk Management- Underwriting Support Services (Marine division)- Claims (Equine and Specialty division)- Equine Underwriting- Trade Credit Underwriting- Professional and Financial Risks UnderwritingPrior to joining Markel International I graduated from the University of Kent in 2012 with a BSc Mathematics degree with Upper Second Class Honours.While at University I carried out a yearly internship (during holiday periods), working for Internal Audit within the Legal and Regulatory department at Markel International mainly focusing on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and multiple underwriting division risk reviews. In total I gained a years’ experience within the team.
