As an attorney with extensive practice experience in many contexts, I have been privileged to enjoy progressive, evolving leadership and responsibility in providing legal representation on diverse business matters, regulatory initiatives, public utility law, governmental affairs, and litigation. In performing my duties as the Utility Consumer Counselor, representing Indiana utility ratepayers' interests, I supervise approximately 55 employees, including legal, technical and support staff, in managing over 300 cases annually that come before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for adjudication and that implicate billions of dollars in the utility industry. That activity encompasses a resolution of utility and other regulatory disputes of increasing complexity. Further, it is done in line with the OUCC's mission statement of being committed to representing consumers to ensure quality, reliable utility services at the most reasonable prices possible through dedicated advocacy, consumer education, and creative problem solving.
