For the last ten years, I have found meaning and purpose in helping grow businesses and nonprofits whose missions all intersect with improving organizational culture. Specifically, this has included reducing interpersonal violence on college campuses and in the U.S. Army as well as programs that encourage civility and respectful employee behavior within corporations, healthcare systems and government agencies. In the many roles I have served as Vice President and President, the one constant truth I have discovered is the value of relationships. I attribute my success in sales and in managing people to listening intently and being authentic, positive, and amiable. My father’s life advice was, “Take your work seriously, but not yourself.” I try to reflect that daily.I will forever wonder why life has been so good to me.
