About David Stocker

I am an architectural historian and archaeologist specialising in medieval buildings and landscapes, especially churches. I have devised and overseen many heritage development projects and written/co-written over 20 books and 200 articles. I have held and continue to hold senior positions in Heritage Governance, such as Trustee of the National Lottery Heritage Fund (HLF), Council Member of the National Trust and Trustee of the Council for British Archaeology. I also act in a number of advisory roles, such as JCNAS nominee to the Lincoln Diocesan Advisory Committee, and CFCE appointee to the Lincoln Cathedral Fabric Advisory Committee. I am currently President of the Lincoln Record Society and the Tennyson Society and a member of the Lincoln University Court.
