  I started as Glenairs first full time CAD person on AutoCAD R9.0. I started writing custom add-ins in LISP and built up a role as unofficial support for subsequent CAD personnel and eventually my job became CAD Systems Administrator. We purchased a seat of SolidWorks in 1997 and this became the prime CAD system.We adopted PDMWorks Workgroup in 2004 and I was instrumental in developing custom routines to extract data from our AutoCAD drawings and port it (along with SolidWorks data) into the system.We have since migrated to SolidWorks Enterprise PDM where my job involves the setup, installation, maintenance, customization, user support and upgrades of the system as well as creating custom databases and routines to help leverage the information that is produced. We currently have around sixty SolidWorks users and over two hundred people accessing drawings from PDM and the custom Intranet application that we developed.
