I am an artist with experience of administration. I work with oil paint and with etching.I went to Art School and then worked in local government. While working in an office by day I worked on art and craft projects in the evenings and weekends. I came out of local government in 2011. I have had paintings accepted for a number of exhibitions including the Discerning Eye show, and the Essex Open. I have worked on various commissions which have included retirement presents for a headteacher and a senor executive. I started etching in 2012 and found this a very rewarding medium. My work is currently involved with the interface between nature and development. This is underwritten by an interest in the archaeology of landscape. I work part-time for local government, administering an education trust fund and minute taking on occasion. I find this work very valuable for its contact with intelligent people and the sense of helping a community. However, painting and etching remain the areas that I am looking to concentrate on.
